StorageHost.in User & Security Guide

Everything you need to know about uploading files, private link sharing, 2FA TOTP authentication, and hardware-isolated VPS storage.

SECTION 01

Using Your Private Cloud Vault

StorageHost.in provides a dedicated private cloud drive vault for storing documents, media, archives, and code files on Pookie Studios' private bare-metal VPS NVMe hardware array.

Drag-and-Drop Uploads

Drag any file into the vault dropzone for instant high-speed streaming onto NVMe storage.

Automatic Categorization

Filter files by Images, Documents, Audio, Video, and Archives with real-time file previews.

SECTION 02

Signed Temporary Links & Privacy Controls

All files stored in your vault are 100% strictly private by default and cannot be accessed publicly without explicit owner authorization.

  • HMAC Signed Temporary URLs: When sharing a file, StorageHost generates an HMAC signed link containing an expiration timestamp (15 minutes, 1 hour, or 24 hours).
  • Expiration Auto-Revocation: Once the expiration timer elapses, the signed URL automatically becomes invalid, protecting your privacy.
SECTION 03

2FA TOTP Multi-Factor Setup

Protect your account with Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) multi-factor authentication using Google Authenticator, 1Password, or Authy.

2FA Setup Workflow:

  1. Open Vault Settings ➔ Click Enable 2FA Authenticator.
  2. Scan the displayed QR code with your authenticator app.
  3. Enter the live 6-digit verification code to confirm pairing.
SECTION 04

Guest Access Security & Infrastructure Guarantee

To prevent unauthorized usage and protect bare-metal NVMe storage capacity, guest accounts are strictly restricted from uploading files. All uploads require an authenticated session backed by 2FA verification.
